It is now easier to check for your driving license’s validity online by going to the NTSA eCitizen website. You will be asked for your National ID number and other demographic data.
All that is needed are just two clicks on a mouse. So, it should not take more than 30 seconds to find out.

How can I check my license by SMS?
To check your driving license status by SMS
Send your National ID number to 22846 using the format of DL 0987654321. Where (0987654321) is your ID number.
However, if you don’t have time for SMS stuff, you can opt to use the NTSA app to check for the validity of your license, amongst other things.

To check for a PSV driver or conductor’s license, SMS the person’s ID number to 22846 using this format: OP 0987654321.
Again, you can also check the validity of a PSV SACCO or Company license by SMS. To do so, send an SMS containing the Sacco/Company name to 22486 using the following format; SACCO followed by the name of the Sacco/company.
What about a PSV night travel license?
To check for the validity of the above license, SMS the motor vehicle registration number to 22846 using the following format: NT KYX 123Y.

Last but not least, you can check for your vehicle inspection status by sending an SMS to 22846. Use the following format; MVI KYX 123Y
Lastly, check for the status of your uncollected Logbook in Kenya. Send a message containing the motor vehicle registration number in the following format. RLOGKYX123Y to 22846.
